You may have been hearing that Android 5.0.2 is out and are wondering when it is coming to your Android phone. For the time being, this update, which is merely a patch to fix some bugs and other issues seen on Android 5.0 Lollipop, has only reached the 2012 version of the Nexus 7 Wi-Fi. Could more devices be in the pipeline for the Android 5.0.2 update? Update: a new tweet by leakster LlabToofer claims that the HTC One M7 will be next in line for Android 5.0.2. Read below for more details.

Update: the active Twitter leakster posted today on this account that the HTC One (M7) would be getting the Android 5.0.2 update, after only the Nexus 7 2012 received this update in December. What’s more, it looks to be the end of the line for Android updates for the M7.

The Nexus 7, Nexus 5, and Nexus 6, among other Nexus devices, received Android 5.0.1 Lollipop at the end of last year which was intended to fix some issues on the original version of Lollipop. However the Nexus 7 2012 had been left out of this update. Owners of the Google tablet didn’t have to wait long though, Android 5.0.2 arrived to the Nexus 7 2012, model LRX22G on December 22nd. Though Google hasn’t really disclosed information as to what the update does, it seems this is an Nexus 7 2012 specific update for the moment. There is still no news as to whether the Nexus 7 2013 will get it.

That being said, there’s a remaining problem on the Nexus 7 2013Nexus 5 and Nexus 6, that being a memory leak that causes apps to crash. The issue is yet to be fixed, so could the Android 5.0.2 update be in store for these devices too?
